The friends and family test (FFT)
Find out more about the FFT and how you can give your feedback using the test.
You can give feedback using the FFT about the following services:
After you have completed your treatment or have been discharged from a service, you will often be invited to complete the FFT - usually within 48 hours. If you aren't asked, you can ask for a FFT form (usually from reception at the service you have been cared for).
"How likely are you to recommend our service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"
You can rank your answer from "extremely likely" to "extremely unlikely". You also have the opportunity to explain your ranking by adding comments, and you may be asked some follow-up questions. This information is then given (anonymously) to the organisation who has provided the service so they know what is and isn't working. Our CCG also uses this information to inform our decisions about the services provided in our local area.
You can find out more about the FFT on the NHS Choices website.
You can also see how different services have been rated according to the FFT. You can find this by searching for the service on the NHS Choices Services Finder, the rating will be shown as a key fact under the heading of 'quality of service'.
