Calls for community voices to shape healthcare futures

A local voluntary panel, representing communities from Bradford district and Craven is looking for new members to help shape the future of local healthcare.

The People’s Board is a group of committed volunteers representing the views of patients and their relatives, service users, carers and the general public; ensuring they positively influence the way health services are developed and delivered.

The People’s Board is hosted by NHS Bradford District and Craven CCGs and members are currently from the Bradford District. However, the group is keen to ensure the views of people living in the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven areas are also represented.

The board is now looking to recruit four new members, including three from communities in Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven.

Members on the People’s Board will be expected to engage with their local communities to bring their views to regular meetings, where they will have the opportunity to challenge and influence the development of future healthcare plans.

Membership of the People’s Board is voluntary, however, members will be reimbursed for their time and expenses, in line with the CCG’s policy.

The closing date for applications is Monday 17 September 2018. You can apply by reading and completing the following application pack.
