Find out how to give Healthwatch your views on local NHS services
Healthwatch is an independent organisation set up to help local people get the best from health and social care services. They exist to give people a voice – improving services today and shaping them for the future:
Feedback that local people share with Healthwatch is fed through to the CCGs Grassroots reporting, which helps us identify areas for improvement.
Healthwatch is an important partner, supporting our engagement work and bringing in patient and carer views to our decision making. Representatives from Healthwatch attend our Joint Quality Committee and Primary Care Commissioning Committee.
In 2017, Healthwatch led a ‘Big Conversation’ on our behalf finding out about what matters most to people when it comes to health and care – read more about the findings and how its shaped our Happy Healthy at Home vision.
Visit the Healthwatch Bradford and District website for more information.
Healthwatch North Yorkshire supported our consultation on Castleberg Hospital and the future of community care in Craven, helping us make sure local people’s views influenced the decision about the future of Castleberg hospital.
Healthwatch also represent the views of young people in our area to make sure that their voices are heard and understood by people who design and run services. You can read more about the work that Healthwatch does with young people here.
